BOMs can be import directly from an Excel file.
This functionality is only available if an Excel Import Template has been configured by the System Administrator.
2. Select a Worksheet from the drop-down list.
3. Define a Range (this is optional).
4. Select a BOM template from the drop-down list.
If no BOM templates are available, please contact your System Administrator.
5. Select the required option for existing BOM items.
7. Select which items to import
The Action column advises how the items will be imported in to the BOM. If a record already exists in SOLIDWORKS Manage matching the item in Excel, the record will be added to the BOM. If a record does not exist in SOLIDWORKS Manage, then a text line will be added to the BOM.
8. Click Import., then click Close.
The Excel items will then be added to the BOM.
